It’s simple. We want to provide answers to the questions you have about raising chickens.

About Me

Hi! My name is Dawn, and I’ve been raising chickens for the last 10 years on my small acreage here in Central Texas.

Even before I had my own flock, I spent years caring for chickens. While growing up during the peak of our “chicken years” we had over 75 hens! Mostly Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons as well as a few others fun and unique breeds.

Now I’m taking everything that I’ve learned and am teaching my young kids the joys of keeping and caring for chickens.

I’m also hoping to share some of those bits of experience with you!
